Spend the day learning how to refine a landscape down to its most important elements and paint an atmospheric scene. Whether you are experienced or just starting out, this workshop is sure to be beneficial and fun!
All skill levels welcome!

Through demonstration and lecture, Clement will show students his process of painting the landscape. He will demonstrate how to break a landscape down into its most essential elements and compose in a harmonious manner.

Concepts covered will include:
Value arrangements
Compositional principles
Use of color to convey mood
Paint application with unique tools
And more

After the demonstration, students will begin their own paintings. Clement will remain available to assist and answer questions for the remainder of the day.

Suggested Supplies List:
Sketchbook or notebook
Some easels will be available but feel free to bring yours.S
Paint brushes (assorted sizes and shapes)
Palette knife
Drywall knives (optional but I use them a lot)
Canvas or Panel (sizes can be between 8x10 to 11x14)
Oil paints (I recommend oil but acrylic or water soluble oils are fine too)
Suggested colors (I like to have two blues, two yellows, white, brown, and red):
Titanium white
burnt sienna
Burnt umber
Ultramarine Blue
Phthalo blue
Cadmium Yellow
Yellow Ochre
Odorless mineral spirits in a jar for cleaning
Paper towels
